As John concludes his third epistle, he reminds Gaius to stay away from the bad example of Diotrephes. We can therefore deduce from John's words about the nature of true biblical leadership, as opposed to that which is false. Like Giaus, we as Christians today must learn to discern the nature of healthy spiritual leadership so that we will not be led astray.
