Jablanac is a picturesque seaside village located near the larger town of Senj on Croatian Adriatic coast. Nearby Zavratnica inlet offers a really beautiful scenery for a day of swimming, sunbathing and some light hiking. And if you look closely you can see a WW2 military ferry wreck laying on the bottom of the inlet, in stark contrast to the beauty which surrounds it.
Overlooking the island of Rab, Jablanac used to serve as a ferry port connecting it to Rab, but the port moved just a bit up the coast to Stinica leaving Jablanac to its quiet simplicity.
