BAT Making Process In Kashmir.

Cricket, a sport cherished by millions, has deep roots in England but has since become a national obsession in India. Particularly in Kashmir, the manufacturing of cricket bats has emerged as a thriving industry, contributing significantly to the local economy. In this podcast, we explore the intricate process of crafting cricket bats in Kashmir, from the selection of raw materials to the final product.

The journey begins with choosing the right materials. Cricket bats are primarily made from willow wood and cane. The blade of the bat is crafted from high-quality, durable willow wood sourced from Kashmir’s lush valley.

Once the materials are sourced, the willow wood undergoes meticulous preparation. First, it is sorted by quality and cut into the desired shape and size using specialized machinery. After shaping, the wood is dried under the sun for several days to eliminate moisture, ensuring the bat’s longevity and performance.
