If you are in Kalgoorlie make sure you visit the redeveloped St Barbara's Square
If you have children they will love the new play equipment and the great new lighting.
For those who don't know, the Square is home to the St Barbara's statue. She is the patron saint of Miners, and was created by artist Nana Lye.
There are also some great water fountains ( which weren't on when we were there! )
Once the trees are mature, there will be more shade, so if you are planning on visiting this summer, make sure to slip, slop, slap, or visit early in the morning or late afternoon/ evening!
