Repurposing Nebraska’s Cold War Infrastructure for Warm War Climate Science

Plenary presentation by the University of Nebraska's David Harwood on the Ice Coring & Education (ICE) Silo which plans to repurpose an abandoned Atlas-F missile silo. It will serve as an ice drill testing and design center where new tools and instruments can be tested before deployment to remote field sites to obtain past records of Earth's climate history.
